Here’s how Foamjection technology works:
- Penny size holes are drilled through the damaged slab at 5-foot intervals.
- Specially formulated polyurethane foam is pumped through the slab reaching the subgrade underneath.
- The liquid foam fills voids and expands rapidly to compact the earth beneath the slab.
- As the foam hardens it locks the slab in place. We call this stabilization.
- When lift is required, additional foam is pumped using carefully calibrated pressure gauges until the slab is raised to the desired height.
- Drill holes are filled with sanded concrete.

How It Works
Foamjection Technology is designed to compact subgrade that is weak or sinking,
stabilize the concrete slab above and, if necessary, lift the slab to eliminate unlevel surfaces and trip hazards.
Step 1
Penny size holes are drilled through the slab where the damage exists. About five feet apart.
Step 2
Ports are installed and hot, liquid Polyurethane foam is injected under pressure. The foam expands to compact the subgrade and stabilize the slab. Pressure gauges tell the installer when the subgrade is fully compacted, and the slab is stabilized.
Step 3
If lift is desired, additional foam is injected very slowly to raise the slab as close as possible to its original position.
Step 4
The injection sites are filled and leveled using sanded concrete. The work area is cleaned.
Most projects are completed in less than a day. The slab is ready for use within one hour of completion.
All Poly Lift teams are full-time employees and each Crew Chief has completed well over 1,000 projects.

First, we compact the sub-grade underneath the slab, which is the root cause of sinking and cracking. Next, we stabilize the slab to prevent future sinking. Last, we lift the slab to reduce un-level surfaces and trip hazards. Lastly we fill in and patch the concrete holes with sanded concrete.

The polyurethane foam cures approx. ½ hr, meaning you can walk or drive on the leveled surface the same day. Polyurethane foam leveling is lighter, more durable, and cures faster than traditional mudjacking, making it a superior choice for concrete lifting. It’s also a much cleaner and faster process. Lastly, the holes we drill are much smaller than traditional mudjacking, so our technique leaves your concrete looking much nicer.

We do our best to fill the holes with matching concrete so you barely notice we ever drilled. The holes are tiny (about the size of a dime) and are patched to match the surrounding concrete as closely as possible.
